In 2009 Michael made a bold decision to move to Medellin, Colombia in search of business opportunities. Completely out of his element in a strange yet beautiful diverse culture, Michael began shooting prolifically. Michael discovered he had an eye for photography while shooting indigenous people in the Amazon River Basin. With his newly found medium Michael began pursuing the magazines and people he wanted to shoot throughout South America. For the next four years Michael traveled the globe shooting a wide variety of commercial clients and created a popular Youtube channel which showcased his travel shenanigans and behind the scenes photo shoots. The earth would need to spin around the sun a few more times before Michael decided to pursue his photography in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, California. "I shoot because I have to, but for me it's really about engaging with my subjects and clients; then artistically giving the appropriate response for the final image."
